Quote from: "Silvereye"
"Why the hell didn't you show up on my tricorder readings?  What was with the badge pointing at the wrap core?  What did the Lizard do to you?  Why were you hiding in the damn hatch?  Take a look at this thing we found attached to your station, if it's still there."
Seamus dusts off his uniform, and tugs his cuffs.

"Interference, Dr. Tarnus.   A tricorder's not going to pick up much this close to the warp core, is it?  There's far too much radiation.

The badge was a clue, obviously, because I needed to appear dead if I was going to rescue the ship.  A quick site-to-site transport convinced the lizard that he vaporized me, and I was laying low for a bit.    There was no use taking him head-on -- you saw what he did to the rest of the team.  I was going to wait for him to leave and put things in order.  At least, that was the plan.  Damn hatch door threw me for a loop!

Seamus takes a large swig of the scotch.  "Don't mind if I do, sir....Not bad, a single malt Weinsreich if I'm not mistaken?   The man knows his liquor.   Phase grenades?  Now we're talking.  I can do it, but it'll take about a week.  Have you any schematics drawn up?"

Orren plops down in the captain's chair and hits his communicator.  "Captain, the little lizards seem to be mini-Scrubbs; cleaning and repairing as best they can, the bridge damage done by our visitor."

"Seamus, did I hear correctly that you were going to attempt to rescue the ship?  What was your plan?  Anything you can do now that the danger appears to have passed?  Nice plan, by the way, hiding until we got the situation under control.  You were slightly less useful than GLADYS, which is saying something.  How about finding a way back to our universe/reality?"

"Hum, I bet these little guys would be mighty tasty sautéed in butter" Orren says aloud, looking around at the creatures on the bridge.  He targets the little bugger who is trying hardest to hide from his gaze and shouts.  "YOU, what is your name, race and job/function?”

The little guy trembles in fear, but does his best to look "tough" -- though perhaps in the sense of "overly chewy".

"I'm Thrik, senior private second class, sir.  Squad leader, Imperial repair crew Delta Seven.  You--you're not supposed to eat us, Gark...we'll...we'll file a report!  Imperial repair crews are strictly off the list!  They changed that last year!  We'll...file...a...report!"

"Just teasing you, shrimp; I don't eat sentient creatures.  And I am not really Gark or even a Ganzigian for that matter.  My name is Orren and I am a human from the planet Learth.  What race are you, Thrik?  Can you tell me anything about Supreme Commander Sr'rik?  My companions and I are from another universe/dimension/reality.  Would you or any of your friends have ideas as to how we might return?  Both our computer and chief engineer seem to be stumped?"

After Thrik responds, Orren hits his communicator.  "Seamus, did you receive my last transmission?  Please reply."

Thrik stares at you wide-eyed, and his jaw drops.  He whispers to a nearby lizard.
"Annnnnd....he's gone completely mad.  Completely bonkers, thinks he's an extra-ganzigial.  I wonder what the aliens did to him....look lively guys, and keep your distance.  Play along and we'll get ol' Gark to the sanatorium..."

He then turns back to you, less afraid and more like one talks to a child.  The others have finished their task, and fall in behind.  He holds out his hand.

"Uh...yes..."Orren", is it?  Pleased to meet you, were are a friendly..uh..species.  We are Ganzigians, "Orren", and Sr'rik is our leader.  We don't know how you'd get back to your...dimension, "Orren", but that sounds like something very difficult to come to terms with.  I'm sure you'd like to talk to someone about it.  If you come along with us, we can get you the help you need during this difficult time."

"It's ok, we understand you've had quite the shock.   It's going to be ok.  Come along, "Orren", we can ask the doctors if "Seamus" is about.  I'm sure they will know what to do."

(several minutes pass)
"Oh, so you want something from me now, do ye?  I'm sorry, I was busy being less useful that GLADYS.  Are ye finished playing dressup with your wee friends then, Mr. Alkath?  The lizards in engineering have mopped the place up, and we're ready to leave this infernal place.  Engines are online and ship is operating above 120% capacity, thanks to the tech we've obtained."

In the interest of moving the campaign along (unless Orren wants to go with the lizards), the Ganzigians provide you with a vector to a location believed to contain a black hole, though they do not know if it will have sufficient mass to perform the operation to return home.

They then escort you to the edge of Ganzigian space with three rather scary looking Class D cruisers, and inform you that a transponder has been added to your computer system which will alert you if you stray into their territory again.  With little ceremony, they depart, leaving you cruising yet again through deep space.  You return to the bridge.

(If there are any other outstanding actions/dialogue, such as pumping the lizards for info, etc., please go ahead and post and we'll conclude those, but I get the feeling everyone wants to move on.  More LM posts to come tonight.)

“We’re not out of the woods yet, but I think we are heading in the right direction.  You know, the body that Silvereye inhabited here was not the same as the one he had on Learth.  I wonder if he somehow found his way back to that corporeal self.”

She gazes at the viewscreen.

“I really miss him."

"GLADYS?  Any sign of the alleged black hole?”

'How did we get on the bridge...where did the lizards go...what the...?"

Dr. Tarnus pauses.  He  remembers the scotch, finding Seamus, something about phase grenades, then more scotch, and needing more scotch after they found Orren and the little lizards doing 'things' to him.  No one should ever have suffered so.... Dr. Tarnus tries not to be sick remembering the hours of reconstructive surgery.  The physical damaged is healed, but the psychological damage, well, that will need time.  We must never mention the word cloaca in his presence. Poor Orren.

Dr. Tarnus looks at the Captain, wondering if he drank far more than he should have imbibed.  "I know Aerth, what's Learth?  And who and what is Silvereye?"
